SPY GAME is not an anti-American diatribe, though it does not paint a pretty picture of the greedy contemporary CIA. Recommend?
Consider now two spy thrillers: “Spy Game,” with Robert Redford and Brad Pitt, which opened over Thanksgiving, and “The Tailor Of Panama,” with Pierce Brosnan and Geoffrey Rush, which opened in March 2001. In the movie, the Chinese Communists are mean and rotton, the Lebanese and Arab terrorists are abhorrent, the radical hippie, pro-Arab fanatic is mocked, and in fact nobody comes off very well except for Robert Redford’s Nathan Muir. Tony Scott's film making style however really needs to slow down. Smart and provocative, Spy Game is an incredibly engaging film.
